American
Medical Pharmaceutical Outlet (AMPO II, Inc. 'AMPO') was created out of
the National Association for the Terminally Ill (NATI), a nonprofit, 501C(3)
organization. NATI was founded to help the terminally ill with a life
expectancy of two years or less pay for day-to-day living expenses.
NATI found that they were using a large portion of their donated funds
for purchasing medications. After extensive research it was found that
most pharmaceutical companies have proprietary patient assistance programs
through which medications are given free of charge to qualifying individuals.
After applying for these programs on behalf of its patients to help its
funds stretch farther, NATI decided that this same service could be provided
on a nationwide basis for anyone meeting the pharmaceutical companies'
requirements, whether they are terminally ill or not.
Thus, AMPO and the Medicine Assistance Program (MAP) were born. Since
our beginning in October 2000 we have been able to help thousands of people
from coast to coast save hundreds of dollars on prescription drugs, so
they never have to make a choice between buying groceries or the medication
they need.
Helping people apply for the pharmaceutical companies' patient assistance
programs is just one way AMPO helps cut the cost of medications. We discovered
that these programs often covered only 75-80% of an average customer's
prescribed medications, and that there was no plan for those individuals
who did not meet all of the guidelines. That is why we established Rx
Relief Network.
Because of our strong association with a number of medication distribution
organizations, we can offer a program which allows everyone to purchase
medications at a true 20-50% savings. Rx Relief Network has no age, income,
or insurance restrictions. There are no forms for your doctor to fill
out, and all medications are delivered right to your front door! This
is a truly hassle-free service... both for MAP members who need to complete
their medication needs, and for families who simply want to cut the cost
of prescription medicines.
